Location: San Fernando Valley, CA (On-site, 5 days/week)
Salary Range: $105,000 - $135,000 (Depending on experience)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Compensation & Benefits Analyst to join our Human Resources team. This role reports to the HR Director and plays a key part in designing, analyzing, and managing compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and reward top talent.
About the Role
The Senior Compensation & Benefits Analyst is responsible for administering competitive total rewards programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing analytical insights that support strategic decision-making. This position requires strong quantitative skills, a deep understanding of compensation and benefits practices, and the ability to partner effectively with leaders and employees.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation
Conduct market salary research and analyze internal/external competitiveness.
Maintain job descriptions, job evaluations, and salary structures.
Support annual merit cycles, bonus calculations, and incentive plan processes.
Provide guidance to managers to ensure internal equity and competitive pay practices.
Prepare compensation reports and dashboards for leadership.
Benefits
Administer medical, retirement, and ancillary benefits programs.
Support open enrollment and serve as an escalation point for employee questions.
Coordinate with benefits vendors and brokers.
Analyze utilization and recommend program improvements and cost optimizations.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with FLSA, ACA, ERISA, and other regulations.
Prepare required filings such as Form 5500.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Systems & Process Improvement
Maintain accurate data within HRIS systems and support ongoing updates.
Improve compensation and benefits processes and documentation.
Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field.
4+ years of compensation and/or benefits analysis experience.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, formulas, modeling).
Experience with HRIS or payroll systems.
Knowledge of compensation structures, job evaluation, and benefits administration.
Understanding of relevant employment laws and regulations.
Ability to work on-site, Monday-Friday, in the San Fernando Valley.
Preferred
Master's degree.
Certifications such as CCP, CEBS, SHRM-CP, PHR.
Experience with compensation management tools or survey platforms.
Statistical analysis or project management experience.
